Here is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Optical Assistant to join a well-established, small independent group of opticians based in South East London.
This is a permanent, full-time position split between 2 practices in close proximty (only 12 mins apart on the Southern Line)
Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, with a day off during the week and no Sundays.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant:
Assisting customers with frame and lens options, ensuring their needs are met
Dispensing spectacles and provide guidance on lens choices
Conducting pre-tests and assist with contact lens teachings
Contribute to the smooth running of the practice by assisting in various areas as needed
Requirements of the Optical Assistant:
Friendly and approachable with excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient in dispensing and managing reception duties
Ability to work effectively in a small independent practice
A team player that is happy to be involved in all areas of the business, where no task is too big or small
Compensation of the Optical Assistant:
Salary is starting at National Living Wage £10.42, negotiable down to experience and skillset.
Favourable working hours with no work on Sundays or bank holidays.
